Precious Dental veneer prices explained, line by line

This is the clinic that publishes this guide, explaining its own prices. We think they are good value, and we think the way we list them, with veneers and crowns clearly separated, is the most honest way to sell cosmetic dentistry. Here is the price list, then what each line means.

What each line is

E-max laminate veneer: £300

The true veneer. A thin shell of lithium disilicate ceramic bonded to the front of the tooth after a light preparation, mostly within the enamel. It keeps the most tooth of any ceramic option: veneer preparations remove roughly 3% to 30% of the visible tooth, compared with about 63% to 72% for crowns (Edelhoff and Sorensen, 2002). It is the most expensive line because it takes the most precise design, preparation and laboratory work. Guarantee: 3 years. See E-max veneers.

E-max full veneer: £225

Despite the common name, this is a crown: the tooth is shaped all the way round and covered completely with E-max ceramic. It suits teeth that are heavily filled, broken or root-filled. It is cheaper per tooth than a laminate veneer but removes much more tooth. Guarantee: 5 years.

E-max ZirCAD crown: £225

A crown made from a strong zirconia-based ceramic in the E-max family. It suits back teeth and teeth under heavy load. Guarantee: 5 years.

Zirconia crown: £150

A crown in zirconia, often advertised elsewhere as a "zirconia veneer". Strong and good value, especially for back teeth or full-mouth work, but a crown nonetheless. Guarantee: 5 years. See zirconia crowns.

Composite veneer: £125

Tooth-coloured composite built up directly on the tooth, usually with little or no drilling. The cheapest and least invasive option, ideal for small changes, but it needs polishing and occasional repair and does not last as long as ceramic. See composite veneers.

• The veneers or crowns, made in a dental laboratory (composite is made in the chair).
• Hotel for the nights shown in the package.
• Airport and clinic transfers.
• A panoramic X-ray.
• Our written guarantee.

What is not included

• Flights to and from Antalya.
• Extra nights if you choose to stay longer.
• Treatment your examination shows you need first, such as fillings, gum treatment or root canal treatment, unless written into your plan.
• Travel insurance.

How to choose between the lines

A plan can combine lines. What matters is that each tooth is listed with its treatment and reason. If a healthy-looking tooth is on the plan as a crown, the reason should be written next to it.

How the final price is set

1. PhotosYou send photos; a dentist gives an opinion on each tooth.
2. Written plan and priceTooth by tooth, with the line from this price list, the package and the nights.
3. ExaminationIn Antalya, with an X-ray. The plan is confirmed or adjusted in writing.
4. TreatmentOnly what is in the confirmed plan.

If the examination finds something that changes the plan, for example decay under an old filling, you are told before anything is done, with the cost.

Comparing our prices with others

Comparing price lists only works if the lines mean the same thing. A quote of "20 veneers" elsewhere at a lower price may be 20 crowns. Ask every clinic, including us, for each tooth's treatment and material. Our cost page has a checklist for comparing quotes fairly, and composite or porcelain over ten years looks at cost over time.

Questions we are often asked about price

• "Is there a deposit?" Ask us when you receive your plan; any deposit and how it is handled should be written down before you pay.
• "Can I add teeth on the day?" Yes, if the dentist agrees it makes sense. The extra teeth are priced from the same list and added to your written plan before treatment.
• "What if I need fewer teeth than I expected?" Then you pay for fewer. The plan follows the examination, not the package you first asked about.
• "Do prices change?" They can. Each price on this site is labelled with the month it applies to, and your written plan fixes the price for your treatment.
• "Is a night guard included?" Ask for it to be listed in your plan if you grind; see grinding and night guards.

Value, not just price

Our prices are not the lowest you will find. A cheaper quote is often for a different treatment, typically crowns rather than laminate veneers, or for fewer nights, fewer inclusions or a shorter guarantee. We think the better comparison is what you get per tooth: the treatment, the material, the stay, the guarantee and how much of your own tooth is kept. On that basis, we believe our laminate veneer packages are among the best value for UK patients.

Typical plans and what they cost

To make the list concrete, here are common plans using the package prices above:

• Refresh the smile with true veneers: 8 E-max laminate veneers on the upper teeth that show, one visit with the hotel included.
• A wider smile: 10 or 12 laminate veneers for a broad smile where the premolars show.
• A full-mouth rebuild: zirconia crowns across both jaws, priced by the 16, 20, 24 or 28-tooth packages, when many teeth are heavily filled, worn or broken.
• Small changes on a budget: composite veneers on 8 teeth with a short stay.

Your own plan may mix lines, for example laminate veneers on healthy front teeth and a crown on one broken tooth. Each tooth is priced from the same list.

Paying for treatment

Payment arrangements, including any deposit and the balance, are set out with your written plan. Pay only once you have the plan in writing and understand what it includes. Paying part by credit card can give extra consumer rights in some situations; Citizens Advice explains how card protection works. Keep your invoice with your guarantee terms.

Why we publish prices

Many clinics only give prices after you send photos. We publish ours because we think you should be able to see them before you contact anyone, and because separating veneers from crowns in public keeps us honest. They are the same as on our clinic website.

Common questions

Why is the laminate veneer the most expensive option?

A laminate veneer is a thin, precise shell bonded to the front of a tooth that keeps most of the tooth. It takes more design and laboratory skill, and it is the option that preserves the most tooth.

Is an E-max full veneer a veneer or a crown?

It is a crown: the tooth is shaped all the way round. We list it as a crown so there is no confusion.

What is not included?

Flights, extra nights you choose to add, travel insurance, and any treatment your examination shows you need first that is not written into your plan.

Is the price final?

The published price is a firm starting point. Your final plan and price are confirmed in writing after your examination and X-ray, before any treatment.
